Cordao (Belt) Progress
Adults
White Belt - Membership Belt.
- Can be earned in as little as (2) months of training.
- Green Stripe - demonstrate 50% of Green Belt techniques
- Yellow Stripe - demonstrate 100% of Green Belt techniques
- Blue Stripe - demonstrate 100% of Green Belt techniques in addition to music.

Green Belt -
-  (6) months to (1) year of training, about (160) classes
- Can flow in Capoeira game with simple combinations.
- Must know and sing 30 corridos (chorus) and be able to play all instruments in roda.
- Basic Maculele and Puxada de Rede

Green-Yellow Belt -
- About (2) years of training, or (312) classes.
- Confortable with basic movements and takedowns.
-Sings and knows meaning of 60 short song and 5 longer solos
- Knows at least (4) berimbau rhythms.
- Confortable playing Maculele

Yellow Belt -
- About (3) years of training, or (468) classes.
- Sings and knows meaning of 90 short songs and 10 longer solos
- Possesses substantial reptoire of Brazlian folkloric music
- Comfortable playing and interacting with students of higher and lower levels
- Basic understanding of Brazilian cultural history

Yellow-Blue Belt -
- About (4) years, or (624) classes.
- Able to apply advanced techniques with control.
- Developing leadership skills by leading by example.
- Sings and knows meaning of 120 short songs and 20 longer solos.
- Good understanding of historical background of Capoeira and how if fits into history.

Blue Belt (Formado, Graduado) -
- About (5) years, or (780) classes.
- Undertands they are know a person who has a place in the Capoeira world.
- Helps to develop newer students and group projects.
- Capoeira has shaped a disciplined and dedicated style of life.
- Has attained a highly technical level of Capoeira and understands how techniques  work.

Blue-Green Belt (Professor) -
- (3-5) years after Blue Belt
- (520) classes as an instructor, or (780) classes as a participant.

Blue - Red (Contra Mestre) -
- (3-5) years after Blue-Green Belt
- (520) classes and an instructor, or (780) classes as a participant.

Red - Black (Mestre) -
- (3-5) years after Blue-Red Belt.
- (520) classes as an instructor, or (780) classes as a participant.
YOUTH
The Youth belts, for ages 5 - 12 years old, are based on specific movements and music as well. There are no specific time requirements for childrens, however they must demostrate improved abilities. In addition, youth belts have their own colors. Once a child reaches age 13, they are eligible to test for an adult equivalency, up to Blue Belt (Formado)
